Transitioning My Practice: Important Information December 2024

I hope this message finds you well as I share an update regarding my practice.

I find myself entering a new season that requires adjustments in how I manage my work.

Over the coming months, my husband and I are embracing several meaningful changes, including:

· Supporting our youngest son as he opens a small local business.

· Aiding our adult daughter with Down Syndrome towards more independence within a supported disability community apart from us for more prolonged durations.

· We are renovating our vacation home in South Carolina beginning and plan to spend several months a year there each Spring and Fall.

· Continuing my Doctorate studies in Spiritual Formation and Relational Neuroscience.

With these new opportunities and commitments, I am shifting my practice to better align with this season of life. Starting immediately, I am no longer taking on new clients, and my availability is now limited to current clients who have scheduled regularly. Once I taper down, I will take an extended sabbatical.

I understand this may come as difficult news. If this change causes you concern or creates stress, please don't hesitate to reach out via email. I would be happy to discuss your needs and determine if I can accommodate you for a designated time slot or short-term sessions. However, please know that my capacity is limited, and I may not be able to fit everyone into my schedule.

If I cannot meet your needs, I am more than happy to help you find a therapist or Splankna practitioner who is more available and actively accepting new clients. Below, I've listed trusted colleagues to whom I frequently refer. They all know about my professional and personal changes.
